Galaxy Note 10 Exclusive Reveals Samsung's Surprising Design Change

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 is a major upgrade which delivers some next-gen technology over the Galaxy S10 range. But it was expected to look almost identical to the S10, until now.

In a pair of teasing tweets, popular Samsung insider Ice Universe has revealed the Galaxy Note 10 will be perfectly symmetrical. In the first, he notes Da Vinci [the Galaxy Note 10’s codename] “is symmetrical” and in the second he posts Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, the iconic image of perfect proportions. And this has significant design consequences.

The Galaxy S10 range is most recognisable for its asymmetric punch-hole design. Consequently, it looks like Samsung is either centring it or removing it altogether in the Note 10 thanks to the company’s upcoming New Infinity display. Either would be a smart move as it gives the Note range (which is bigger than ever this year) a clear visual differentiator. And Ice Universe isn’t finished there.

He also states that the new 4G Galaxy Note 10 Pro edition will feature the same enlarged 4500 mAh battery as the supercharged 5G Galaxy S10. A move which presumably leaves space for an even bigger battery in the confirmed 5G model.

In addition to this, he says the Note 10 Pro will charge at 25 watts, notably faster than the 18 watts of the S10 range.

This battery information is also verified by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology which certified the battery and its model number (EB-BN975ABU) aligns with the model number of the 4G Galaxy Note Pro: SM-N975. With a more affordable Galaxy Note 10e also launching alongside the Pro models, the Note range will be expanding for the first time this year and it looks like Samsung has all bases covered.
